In February 2007, Grass Roots HBI released the first edition of its Meetings Industry Report, which contained over 200 colour pages of articles featuring the key meetings procurement trends in the UK and internationally. It also provided Grass Roots HBI clients with reliable UK & Europe-wide statistics and data, supported by case studies.

The report was fantastically well received by the 2,000+ procurement heads, training/HR directors, managers and senior meetings planners who received copies, as well as by the industry at large. It won the MIMA Gold Award for Best Intermediary Brochure in October 2007, and became a valuable tool with which corporates benchmarked their meetings procurement strategies.

Due to its success, Grass Roots HBI decided to print a report annually, not simply by repeating the previous edition, but featuring articles on different or new areas of the meetings industry.
